Towards an Improved Rapid Urban Site Index

Background: An urban site index is an approach for identifying quality optimal matching of tree tolerances to conditions and determining the efficacy soil management actions. The Rapid Urban Site Index (RUSI) was previously developed found significantly relate performance. However, RUSI needs further testing verify its accuracy in other populations. Furthermore, calibration with parameter weighting additional parameters might also improve accuracy. Methods: objectives this study are to: (1) evaluate 3 Wisconsin cities; (2) models accuracy; (3) examine addition a labile organic matter indicator detection action. Results: correlate metrics cities (r = 0.29 0.31; n 90). Parameter increased significant correlation values between model 0.24 0.37; Solvita® respiration test detected differences soils from biosolids application (P 0.0275), improved 0.27 0.38; Conclusions: This research demonstrates effective approaches refinement.
